Our Occupational Health and Safety and First Aid Health unit offer a number of short programmes in Health and Safety, Fire Prevention, First Aid. Our NVQ Assessment centre for Occupational Health & Safety has now been operating successfully for several years providing the opportunity for work based NVQ’s in Health & Safety at Level 3, 4 and 5. Andover College is unique in providing these qualifications by e-learning NVQ4 enables candidates to meet the requirements for (Member of Institute of Occupational Safety Health)  MIOSH membership.

A large percentage of our courses can be arranged at a venue to suit your individual business requirement or on site at our purpose built training suites. Although all the courses offered have a set format, most courses can be tailored to meet the need of any industry or your organisation.

Automated External Defibrillator Training

This half day course is designed for anyone that is providing basic life support. Throughout this session you will be taught the correct procedures for utilising this life saving equipment.

Paediatric First Aid

A specialist course designed and delivered over a duration of two days, this course is specifically for delegates who are working with and supervising children and need to keep their skills at the required levels to comply with legislation and will cover the main subjects for first aid for children, such as the recovery position and CPR, choking, meningitis and infantile convulsions

First Aid at Work (FAW) HSE Approved

The course is conducted over 24 hours on 4 consecutive days or alternatively there are evening sessions that can be conducted over 27 hours on 1 evening a week for 9 weeks.

The course is designed for companies to fulfil their First Aid requirement for a First Aider at Work under the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. The delegates are required to successfully complete theory and practical assessments with two independent assessors. On successful completion of this course the delegate is able to fulfil their company’s requirements for First Aid.
